OMiGodMyHeadsFullToBurstingPoint!!!

I can´t decide what to write about today – well strictly that isn´t true – I´ve decided, obviously, to write about not being able to decide what to write about!

Which is sort of symptomatic of the way I seem to feel lately – there´s so much going on in my head, so many things to do, that I can´t really decide where to start, so I sit there paralysed multiple options vying for attention in my head.

Itś a bit like ´wilfing´ on the internet, but itś not just the internet, itś the whole of my life! (For those who don´t know what ´wilfing´ is, it stands for ´what was I looking for´ and is apparently now a bit of a national habit – see this news article http://technology.guardian.co.uk/news/story/0,,2053536,00.html)

Anyway, (if you´re still reading this and aren´t now on some obscure web page umpteen links on from the link above), like I was saying, I can´t really decide where to start – I suppose I should really get myself organised, but even that is complicated as I´d have to read some self-help books on how to become more organised, (and have you ever tried reading the ´7 Habits of Highly Effective People´? It´s pretty heavy going!), and how would I ever decide which book on organisational skills to read?

Anyway, in an attempt to organise my thoughts somehow, here´s some of the stuff going on in my head:-

Go to www.notes from spain.com and see what Ben and Marina have posted on there, cos it really cheers me up to see nice sunny foreign countries that I´d like to be living in instead of Britain. Also have a watch of his second video blog here which is very interesting and reminds you that your Spanish language skills are now hopeless because you haven´t had any chance to practise them.

I need to relearn all the French and Spanish I´ve forgotten!

Go and look at the Chocolate & Zucchini website because it has recipes for loads of really ace food and also because it reminds you of France.

Make a list of all the things you need to do in one place rather than the various different lists you currently have on bits of paper, on your pda, on your mobile phone and in your head – then from that list sort out a few manageable jobs and some reasonable amounts of time to do them in and make a start. Sounds easy doesn it, except that while youŕe doing those jobs, a load of new ones will appear in your head so that, by the time you finished the jobs you´re doing, the list will be even longer than when you started

Demoralising isn´t it – is there any point actually starting?
